Your Ladies will Immediately Say "Yes" to this Wine

I can hear the wedding bells!

Calling all Brides-to-be, How CUUUUTE are the new labels I designed for Speak Wines new Wedding collection! The best part is they come in three different colors, sure to fit whatever your color scheme is.

I LOVE the gift box you see above that Speak Wines put together with some other gifts. You could totally re-create this yourself and switch up the items for the lady. Featured in this gift box is Herbivore coconut oil, Sandalwood Tobacco candel and a Castelbel peppermint soap bar.

Other cute items that I included in my own gift box for bridesmaids were hand-painted boxes with their names, customized pencils (because I'm an artist and always needing a pencil) and Champagne gummy bear and rose Sugerfina candies.

I wish these bottles were around when I was asking my Bridal ladies to join me! You can pick between "Will you be my Maid of Honor?" and "Will you be my Bridesmaid?"

I really enjoyed the process of creating these labels for Speak Wines new Wedding collection. I love that we decided on three color schemes that will go with any bridal party: indigo, pink, and cream. They would look super cute all in a ice bucket together on display at a soiree to ask your bridal babes to join the official wedding party, cheers!

I can't believe it is one month until our one year wedding anniversary!

I still have so much I haven't shared from my wedding that can inspire you! So I figured today is a great day to start by sharing the original watercolor art and design I made for our invitation suite.

I knew the minute i was engaged I was going to have alot of work to do. I was determined to put my creative touch on just about everything, especially the paper ephemera. Scroll down to see more about my process...

We chose to get married at my parents newly built ranch in Redlands. It was the perfect location and we both felt really comfortable having it there, so that was an easy decision. As we began to plan our wedding (in less than 4 months I might add, but more on that in another post!) we decided to start the wedding at the front of the house. Our ceremony would take place in front of the large vintage doors I sourced with my parents on a trip to Carpentaria while the house was being built.

i had actually already completed the painting you see above as a gift to my parents and I thought it would be the perfect addition to the front of my invitation design. So I scanned it in and began basing the rest of my design off of elements from the ranch and it's gardens. The scanned art is seen below.

Being the graphic designer that I am, I decided to lay everything out in photoshop before printing so i could see exactly what everything was going to look like together and how I was going to package it as you can see below. I added art to everything from the stamp to the belly band that packaged it all. I also incorporated florals into the design that I had discussed with my florist, The Nature of Things to include in my wedding.

The Story of Two Artist who fell in Love

proposal-story

One year ago today, on November 1st 2016, my now husband Ryan Heimbach proposed to me on the beach in Laguna. It was one of the best days of my life so far, other than the day we got married in March 2017. Below what follows is the short and sweet story of how we met and fell in love. I hope you enjoy!

{ larger than life charcoal portraits by Ryan Heimbach}

It began as a chance encounter at a gallery during artwalk in Laguna Beach. An artist (Ryan) was drawing a large scale charcoal portrait in the gallery. Kimberly came into the gallery for a visit and would end up chatting to the artist briefly. That was in March of 2014, fast forward to October 2014. At a party her collective studio in Laguna was hosting she would be introduced by several mutual friends to Ryan, " Hey you guys are both artists," was the common reference as they met. You could say it was love at second sight. They were inseparable from that night on. Staying up all night talking and having their first kiss on Main beach in Laguna (where Kim was later surprised with a proposal from Ryan!).

The next day Kimberly was invited to Ryan's place to walk to the Laguna Canyon dog park with their dogs, Mr.Bailey and Sammy. Upon arrival at Ryan's, Kim noticed the large scale charcoal drawings on his walls. "I met you before!" she remembered back to March, as did he. They knew it was meant to be.

Bridal Shower Watercolor Roses and Peonies Welcome Sign by Ladyfolk Studio

Bridal Shower Watercolor Roses and Peonies Welcome Sign by Ladyfolk Studio

i had been daydreaming about all the details of my wedding before I was even engaged. So when the man of my dreams popped the question I couldn't wait to start bringing my, er...our vision to life! Now that my wedding has come and past (4 months ago as of yesterday!) I am happy to offer my custom wedding art services to others.

I loved personalizing my wedding art and would love to help you have the same experience! I completely hand-painted both my bridal shower and wedding welcome signs with watercolor and picked the perfect accessories to adorn them. For my bridal shower sign, I added coordinating flowers to match my artwork and overall color scheme. For my wedding, I chose to use elements you could find in my studio as decor, which included artist easels and vintage frames I have collected from flea markets over the years.

My watercolor wedding signs have become a keepsake piece of art, something I will treasure as a reminder of that day forever. -Kmberly Heimbach

If you are interested in making these handmade elements a part of your special day please contact me here for a quote or review average pricing and details in the shop if you are ready to place an order. I have a small selection of vintage frames for sale/rent and also artist easels available for rent.

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about wedding art and vintage accessories please email kimberly@ladyfolkstudio.com
