West Elm Painting Succulents Workshop Recap

Who doesn't LOVE West Elm?!!! Seriously, I would buy the whole store if it wouldn't make me bankrupt.

Their vibe is modern chic but warm and inviting. Think shag rugs, tons of green plants, sleek furniture and rustic touches. When I arrived they had just received a fresh shipment of air plants and succulents. I picked my favorites and put them on display along with my watercolor mood board you see above. The workshop area hosted us with their comfy dining chairs and large wooden table. The store ended up being such a great venue to host my succulent painting watercolor workshop at. Watercolor Pineapple turned Tote bag: Paint, Sip and Print with Ladyfolk Studio!

I cannot tell you how excited I am for my next workshop: Paint, Sip and Print, Watercolor Pineapple turned Tote bag!

Have you heard of a direct to garment printer? Commonly referred to as a DTG? It's tote-tally awesome!

Well let me explain what this has to do with the next workshop...

You see, we will be using this bad ass DTG at the Soul Project to print your original watercolor pineapple painting directing onto a canvas tote. How amazing does that sound?! You will get your very own tote bag, with your art on it to take home. Stash your new travel watercolor set and towel in it so you can hit the beach in Laguna to show it off, because everyone loves pineapples!

I will begin the by teaching you all the basics of watercolor painting, including wash techniques, the process for painting, making a composition, dry brushing, and color mixing. After that, I will walk you through a step by step process for making the perfect pineapple painting. You will actually get two chances at this, so you can pick which one you want to print on your bag!

Once you are happy with your painting and it is good and dry, I will be scanning them and printing them on the bags while you get to enjoy yourself sipping wine, chatting with new friends and taking a look in the shop. You can see photos from a past watercolor workshop at The Soul Project here.

Mom's Nite Out! Live Watercolor Hand-Lettering Event with Ladyfolk Studio

Bring your mom, sister, bestie, daughter... Mom's night out in Chino tonight! 

I will be live hand-lettering personalized names on watercolor prints of my original art for all the ladies. There will also be a photo booth, food samples, make-up tutorials and gift bags for the first 150 people! You could also get some shopping done or grab dinner, here is a full list of what the Chino Towne Center has to offer.

This will be my first time in Chino for an event, last month I was in Riverside for a similar event for Easter you can see photos of below. It was such a successful event I actually ran out of cards to paint. So that was 150 watercolor hand-lettered first names in less than 2 hours, wow!
