Kimberly's Laguna Beach Bridal Shower

wedding, ArtKimberly HeimbachComment

My bridal shower was a dream come true!

To our luck it didn't rain and we were able to enjoy the first half of the shower on the patio at Harvest at The Ranch. I have to thank my sister-in-law (side note: she was also my best friend from preschool to elementary school!) for planning all the beautiful details. I designed and painted all the paper ephemera for my own bridal shower, which included the hand-painted welcome sign you see above.

The flower crown bar was my idea for a way to provide an activity, something to wear during lunch and also a take home for my guests. it came out perfect thanks to local florist Shannon of Cargo Creative. Shannon also provided the garlands for my tables and the flowers for my peacock chair that my friend Roxanne provided for the day. I am sill dying to get my own peacock chair, but for now we have named it the "traveling peacock chair." It also came on my sisters birthday trip to Catalina.

After we all made our flower crowns we had a seat on the patio with a gorgeous view of Ben Browns golf course and The Ranch resort. We enjoyed tray passed hors hors d'oeuvres of farm fresh deviled eggs, burrata on brioche and spinach tarts along with plenty of sparkling Rosรฉ and Spicy Bloody Mary's (see the full menu at the end of this post).

After flower crown making and a cocktail we moved inside to the private dining room at Harvest for the rest of the festivities. Guest enjoyed a choice of a fried chicken salad (my favorite!), a salmon salad or a club turkey sandwich for lunch.

One of my special request for lunch was that we had to have a cheese and charcuterie plate! It is one my favorite things to enjoy with friends and a glass of red wine. This one from Harvest came out beautiful and was a big hit with guests as we mingled before the main course.

I wasn't big on having a ton of games at my shower but we did end up playing one so my guests could get to know our relationship better. Thank you to my maid of honor and younger sister for all her help asking my then fiancรฉ the questions.

All the desserts were brought in from Sweet & Saucy Shop in Newport Beach because we had very specific request for dessert!  They did an amazing job keeping with my color palette and flower choices, I couldn't of been happier!
