Custom Watercolor Art for Holiday Cards

ArtKimberly HeimbachComment

The holidays are around the corner! Now is the time to put those holiday cards together. Looking for something different than the typical photo card? Don’t have time to schedule a photoshoot? Well i have the perfect solution for you, custom art!

There are some options for the artwork I offer. You can have an illustration created of either your family or your business associates. Above is an example of a custom illustration I created of business associates of Kelly Ferm Interior Design. Below is an example of a family of 6 family portrait, yes pets count as family members! The Kelly Ferm art did include additional fees for concept and adding the Christmas tree decorating elements. For something like this you contact me kimberly@ladyfolkstudio.com for a quote. For the family art you can place your order here.

How to order your original watercolor holiday art cards….

Step 1 Place your order here for a custom family painting and digital artwork. After you place your order you will be contacted for preferably one photo to base the illustration of off but I can also work from multiple photos if needed.

Step 2 Send your reference photos to kimberly@ladyfolkstudio.com after being contacted.

Step 3 Allow 1-2 weeks for original painting to be mailed to you and high resolution digital version to be emailed to you.

Step 4 Upload your high resolution digital artwork to any card printing service. I recommend Shutterfly to upload to a blank card or Minted to upload to one with a design included. i choose to do it this way so you can have control over the price and how many cards you want printed. Both of these sites consistently offer discount codes so make sure you check on the current offer before placing your order for cards. Both sites also include envelope addressing which can save you a ton of time.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO and you will never work a day in your life!!!

A little motivation Monday for you aspiring creative ladies because this is exactly how I felt when I was invited to fashion illustrate inside the St. John Knit headquarters in Orange County.

This special day was for a top client of St. John's who was in town to preview the new Fall collection, have a beautiful lunch and receive a fashion illustration completed live by me with watercolor!

I thought this idea was so unique and now the client has a special piece of original art to remember her special day. If you are interested in hiring a fashion illustrator for your event or special meeting you can contact me via email kimberly@ladyfolkstudio.com.

I've decided to keep the client anonymous out of respect for her privacy.
